THE POWER OF PICTURES (half day)

A deep dive into the power of imagery.

We begin with photography and explore how a series of iconic images reveal the essential principles of visual communication. Then we consider art direction and the hierarchy of elements to be considered when designing for advertising. There’s also a typographic tour as we explore how to make the most of this often overlooked creative tool.

During the workshop attendees step outside to undertake a street photography project, before returning to design a circus poster unlike any other.

This workshop isn’t just for designers and art directors, but for anyone who wants to make the images they use work harder.
